Community Involvement

Young people are one of a community’s greatest assets. The education process should connect students with the community, its organizations, environment and needs. This reinforces the reason for learning. It empowers students as they contribute now while learning to be active, involved citizens.

In turn, community members who are active in schools understand the energy of their young people, and the education system that their tax dollars support. Parents and other community members have a lot of knowledge and skills from which schools and students can benefit when the opportunity is utilized.
