Sustainability In Oregon
Years ago Oregon business and government leaders established a reputation for the state as an environmental leader. These same groups went on to lead the way toward a sustainable future for the state as they recognized the need to do more than just make isolated environmental improvements. They learned that environmental issues were intertwined with economic and social considerations, and that their success would best be supported by considering the long-term sustainability of natural systems in their decision-making. Now as an increasing number of natural resource limitations are being recognized, these pioneers continue their journey toward sustainability, share their experiences and are joined by a growing wave of others.
