The successful future of businesses and governments relies on our schools to train the future workforce about sustainability. A school system recognized as a sustainability leader also provides a short-term benefit for local businesses by attracting workers and investors from other places.

Everything a school and district does impacts sustainability. SOSI has broken activities down into a set of topic areas and created a resource section around each topic area. These areas are interconnected. There are also many additional areas that could be added to the list, some of which will be developed in the future as time and resources allow.
